I'll ditto Dave and Jay - It's called "social" networking, not "sell" networking. I'm a pretty patient, forgiving kind of gal, but it bugs the dickens out of me when so many marketers misuse and abuse social media marketing. I'm a big believer in playing by the rules and abiding by social networking etiquette. Perhaps there needs to be more written on the subject. :-)

I completelty agree with Jay Dy. Social Media is not about using "push" strategies to annoy consumers into purchasing products! Big corporations, please get the hint: people are tired of being marketed to, but we are willing to engage in a conversation if you can provide a solution to our problem while listening to our input!

I want to add an input. Social media is not for profiting. It actually concerns and centers on social equity. Meaning if you are honest and helpful, then people will follow you. This is the trend of social media way. I know I've been following the secrets on this free social marketing blog.
