Well, not exactly. I got a chance to work the concession stand at the ballpark where my son plays little league baseball. It didn’t pay very well, zero, but it was a ton of fun and I got to see a lot of great parents, great kids and parts of two great baseball games.

… and yes, I love ACDC and my son and I went to their concert in January and it was awesome!

Ken,
I am glad you enjoyed your concession stand duty, My daughter plays softball. I enjoyed many of my concession stand dutes and her games as well. How is your search going? I have been out for six months now. I can’t help sarting to wonder if I am ever going to find a job. Enjoy while you still can. It is going to get worth.

Ken,
Sorry to hear about your “pink slip” situation … a little temp work might lead to different thinking — and seeing new opportunities (you never know who you meet!).
BTW — A little blogging and my syndicated column about you and your link to the value of a college degree (http://bit.ly/RPsEf and http://bit.ly/1V0a0r) might lead to other, more steady work.

PS. I’m betting your son LOVED you “participating” at the concessions!

Kudo’s for you Ken! Not only did you spend some great time with your son, you got to advertise for AC/DC (which I have seen too – AWESOME), you got to sneak a snack (yes?), but you got to meet some new people! WONDERFUL and thanks for sharing! I enjoy reading these types of blogs as I search for my ideal job!
Have a wonderful weekend!
